Job Title  :   Production Technician

Description  :  

Position Summary:

The Production Technician is responsible for various activities that bridge the engineering and production departments. This includes, but is not limited to, product testing, assisting with time studies for new builds, technical troubleshooting and engineering design assistance.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Test various products, requiring the reading of outline drawings and specifications
2. Conduct visual inspections during testing process
3. Ability to assist with assembly of products
4. Assist with time studies for new builds
5. Resolve issues through technical problem solving and troubleshooting
6. Notify Production Supervisor of defects in equipment, tools, processes or materials
7. Assist Engineering with resolution of design issues
8. Train new hires as needed


• Some Engineering college coursework preferred; HSD required
• Soldering experience preferred
• Experience in RF/Microwave industry preferred

Job Title  :   Radio Link Engineer
Experience  :   Experience in design of MMW Radios
Qualification  :   Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, with experience in MMW, Working knowledge of FPGAs

Description  :  

The Radio Link Engineer design, develop, package, test and troubleshoot HXI Radio Products under limited supervision. This individual will have MMW and Radio design experience, strong engineering and customer support skills, and strong business acumen to help find ways for the organization to maximize efficiencies in Engineering and Production of HXI’s Radio Product Line.

Position Responsibilities:

• Evaluate complex Radio Frequency systems and derive performance specifications to support feasibility analysis, design, and implementation
• Design and implement RF circuits and systems to meet requirements, selects components, captures schematics, and creates or reviews externally-produced printed circuit board layout. Provides assembly instructions and reviews assembly
• Collaborate with other RF and Digital Engineers to identify equipment, circuits, and fixtures needed to test or characterize RF systems and to support test automation
• Debug RF boards and systems, and supports system integration and test
• Write design and test documentation to describe procedures and results
• Collaborate with configuration management and production engineers in oversight of manufacturing and product development.
• Performs radio link margin calculations
• Knowledge of radio wave propagation, attenuation, etc. at MMW frequencies
• Evaluates available modems for use in product line
• Evaluates synthesizers, FPGAs, etc. for use in the product line
• Helps to maintain radio’s user interface
• Develops packaging and connectivity for the radio products
• Works with manufacturing to find lower cost solutions to MMW transceivers, support circuitry and mechanical aspects of the radios
• Determines testing to be performed on radio links
• Contributes to architecture and detailed design of radios
• Evaluates integrated MMICs and modules for possible adoption into radio designs
• HALT/HASS testing knowledge a plus
• Works with customers and sales to determine needs and propose appropriate solutions
• Troubleshooting of radios in factory and help customer troubleshoot radios in the field
• Ensures that indoor and outdoor test ranges/setups are operating properly.
• Works with radio consultant in any/all of the above items

Special Skills/Competencies:

• Strong hands-on technical background in RF/microwave/MMW communications.
• Knowledge of test equipment applications, capabilities, and limitations
• Working understanding of microwave principles and practice
• Working understanding of system design and analysis principles and practice.
• Working knowledge of computer aided design tools
• Good organizational skills coupled with a strong business acumen.
• Good written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work closely with senior management, manufacturing personnel and customers.

Job Title  :   Tech Sales Rep
Experience  :   2+ years of experience in RF/Microwave Sales preferred

Renaissance Electronics & Communications LLC, a leading supplier of RF & Microwave components and sub-system (www.REC-USA.com) is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to be based out of its Harvard, MA location.

This position's primary focus is achieving the company vision through sales growth, new product development, customer acquisition, and sales team development and management for the Eastern United States. You are the Leader of promoting Renaissance Electronics and HXI products and capabilities to customers, government agencies and the Manufacturing Representatives for the company. You consistently motivate and manage a regional network of sales personnel to achieve organizational goals.

The position responsibilities will include:

1. Provide accurate and up to date territory Sales Forecasts.
2. Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations pertaining to our marketplace.
3. Develop new business opportunities by customer, market segment, and product line.
4. Provide ongoing competitive market analysis.
5. Participate in the development and execution of effective marketing and advertising initiatives.
6. Improve sales processes and systems.
7. Meet and/or exceed all goals according to position incentive plan
8. Customer Contact through emails, faxes, phone calls and in-person visits.
9. Initiates quote requests, prepare quote folders, present at quote meeting and ensure timely follow-up to result in bookings.
10. Resolve business and technical issues with customers.
11. Ensure AS9100 quality compliance.
12. Update field Rep forecasts and periodically review performance.
13. Assist in the identification of new engineering projects
14. Up to 25% travel may be required

• Understanding of high frequency products ranging from 10MHz to 110GHz

Experience  :   Minimum 5 years sales experience, minimum 2 years in Millimeter wave Digital Radio Sales preferred (38 GHz or higher)

We are currently seeking a talented Sales Professional to join our team. This is a commission-based position that is responsible for achieving global sales growth for our MMW Digital Radio Product Line. You will be the leader of promoting our Radio products to customers, government agencies and field sales teams, using HXI contacts plus your own well-established connections in the marketplace. You must be effective in finding, developing and closing new accounts, selling on value, and are successful in a competitive marketplace.

Position Responsibilities:

• Proactively make sales contacts, understand customer needs and develop sales and account strategies to penetrate the MMW Digital Radio market
• Follow up on sales leads, making cold calls and sales visits to drive to expand revenue
• Build on your established industry contacts that lead to sales and increased revenue
• Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations pertaining to our marketplace, as well as internal QMS and AS9100 initiatives
• Establish long-term, ongoing relationships with Customers

Desired Skills:

• Proven track record of closing deals
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
